Tracy received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. She has been focusing her professional interests in the study of parent/child and peer relationships during early and middle childhood, and children's learning within the context of everyday home and community based activities.
Tracy is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Research in Child Development, National Association for the Education of Young Children and the American Educational Research Association. She has been an Associate Research Scientist with the Orelena Hawks Puckett Institute since 1999.
Ellen received her Master's degree in education from Boston University and has extensive experience working with young children with disabilities and their families. Previously, she has worked in Pediatric Oncology, Head Start programs, and as a teacher for preschool-age children. She has been with the Orelena Hawks Puckett Institute since 1999 and has worked on various projects working directly with children, families, schools, and other professionals. As part of the Learning Comes Alive! team, she works with parents, children, educators, and intervention professionals to implement the day-to-day project activities.
