Welcome

Images of children The Learning Comes Alive! project promotes the use of typical, everyday community activities as sources of educational opportunities for elementary-school-age children with a wide range of learning difficulties/disabilities. The goal of the project is to reinforce learning of the general school curriculum by working with parents and teachers to identify individual children's strengths and interests, identify academic priorities for the child, and match those assets/goals with activities in the community.

This project is funded by a grant from the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. It is a three-year project that will work with up to 150 families over the course of the project.

Project staff are dedicated to the families they serve.
